Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Pappies iOS app, its content, features, and in-app purchases. By downloading, accessing, or using Pappies, you agree to these terms.

Your use of Pappies is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app

Pappies is a geography-learning app with quizzes, maps, achievements, progress tracking, reminders, and related educational content. Africa is available without a paid unlock. Other continents and premium access may require Sign in with Apple and an in-app purchase.

Account and iCloud sync

You may use Sign in with Apple to access paid features and sync eligible progress, achievements, and unlock information through iCloud. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple Account used with the app.

Deleting your Pappies app account removes app account data, achievements, progress, reminder notifications, and other locally or iCloud-synced app data supported by the deletion feature. It does not cancel a subscription or remove purchases from your Apple purchase history.

Pappies Plus monthly subscription

Pappies Plus unlocks all continents and premium access while the subscription is active. In the euro storefront where the base price is offered, the price is currently €1.99 per month.

Pappies Plus is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Unless you cancel, it renews automatically each month at the price shown by Apple for your storefront at the time of purchase or renewal, subject to any notice or consent Apple may require for price changes.

You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues until then.

Lifetime access

Lifetime access is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks all continents and premium access without a recurring subscription. In the euro storefront where the base price is offered, the price is currently €17.99.

“Lifetime” means access for the operational lifetime of Pappies under the Apple Account used for the purchase. It does not refer to the lifetime of the purchaser and does not guarantee that the app, every feature, or compatibility with future devices or operating systems will remain available indefinitely.

Regional prices, taxes, and payment

Prices vary by country or region and may change. The localized price and currency displayed in the App Store purchase screen when you confirm a transaction are the price and currency that apply. That displayed price may include applicable taxes depending on your storefront.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pappies does not directly collect or process your payment-card details.

Restoring purchases and prior purchases

Eligible non-consumable purchases and active subscriptions can be restored in the app using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Certain legacy Pappies continent or bundle purchases may continue to grant all-access entitlement. Access remains subject to Apple’s verification of the transaction and entitlement.

Optional support gifts

Pappies may offer optional one-time support gifts as consumable in-app purchases. A support gift is voluntary, does not unlock features or content, and is generally not restorable after purchase. The applicable price is displayed by Apple before you confirm the purchase.

Refunds

Payments and refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable terms and refund policies. Except where required by law or granted by Apple, payments are non-refundable and no partial refund or credit is provided for an unused subscription period.

Permitted use

Pappies is licensed for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with Apple’s usage rules. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, extract or redistribute its content, reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits this, or use it in violation of law or third-party rights.

Educational content

Geographic names, borders, populations, facts, maps, and other educational content may be simplified, disputed, incomplete, or become outdated. Pappies is provided as a learning aid and should not be relied on as an authoritative source for legal, political, navigational, or safety-critical decisions.

Third-party services

Pappies relies on services operated by third parties, including Apple for account, iCloud, App Store, purchase, and platform functionality, and AppsFlyer for mobile attribution, analytics, and fraud protection. These services may process information as described in the Privacy Policy and may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued by their operators. Pappies does not control those third-party services or guarantee their continued availability.

Availability and changes

The app and its features may be corrected, updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. Internet access, compatible Apple hardware and software, Apple and AppsFlyer services, and App Store availability may be required for some functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Intellectual property

Pappies, including its software, visual design, maps, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by or licensed to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant only the limited right to use the app; no ownership rights are transferred to you.

Sound credits

UI sound assets from the SND01 “sine” sound kit were designed by Yasuhiro Tsuchiya and are used under the SND terms of use at snd.dev. Copyright and other intellectual-property rights in those sound assets remain with their respective owner.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pappies is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties, or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to Pappies, purchases, legal requirements, or third-party services such as Apple or AppsFlyer. The effective date will be updated when changes are published. Where required, additional notice will be provided. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
